Well Henry and I have had some pretty rough days this week... We are still trying to iron out the kinks in his nighttime waking. But I think I have gotten some of the ailments under control however his teething stepped right in and took over. Those two pearly whites on top are making a rather "Grand" entrance and have been bothering the poor kiddo for several days. On top of all of that, if you can believe it... he came down with a cold on Tuesday that he got from some germy little baby in the church nursery. With all of that said, boy am I exhausted! The wheels have fallen off of this circus many times this week and but we are still truckin' along. So if you are ever up in the middle of the night because you cant sleep, please say a little prayer for Henry and I because we probably are too.

So I picked this tote up at Target the other day.... and look who decided to have big time fun inside.

My Prison.

I mean aren't those the saddest eyes you have ever seen....

Well I thought I should show you what Henry likes to refer to as "his prison." The notorious playpen. Since he has become a master at crawling and can hustle across the room quicker than lightening, I have had to put his "Pack n Play" up as a permanent fixture in our kitchen for emergencies. Let me tell you.... he.HATES.it! A few days ago he learned how to pull himself up so I know it will be no time until he is walking.

Henry is constantly on the move.... I caught a few of him in action while we were in the kitchen. He discovered that if he pulls the kitchen towel off of the cabinet rack he has his very own pull up bar. Oh boy! 

Bath time is definitely his most favorite time of the day... Since he loves it so much and can now sit up well with no assistance I have extended his bath time fun to about 20 minutes. He sucks on the washcloths, plays with the bath toys and makes big splashes. Such fun!

Henry has been trying his hardest to pull himself up in his crib so I took the camera along yesterday when I went to get him from his nap... this is what I found.

Christmas Festivities.

Christmas at home was the best! We had such a wonderful time. Christmas Eve was sunny and beautiful outside so Henry and I spent a little time in the backyard on a blanket enjoying the sunshine. We went to the candlelight service at church that afternoon and then came home to enjoy BLTs. Santa stopped at the Dockendorfs Christmas Eve and brought Henry lots of fun toys! His favorite was Rody his bouncy horse. Daddy got Henry a walker which he is showing lots of interest in using it these days. Henry got books, a clapper alligator, a few clothes, and a backpack. After presents we enjoyed omelets and orange juice. I spent the rest of the day cooking a turkey and "fixins" as they are known around these parts. =) ha! It was such a great time!
