A Fourth of July to Remember
The Dockendorf's traveled up to northern Alabama to celebrate the fourth with family... The day was filled with festivities. First stop was the Weeks Reunion where Henry met many of his great great aunts, uncles, and cousins. Next stop was the Ingle Riverhouse to meet his other new baby cousins not that much older than him. He slept through most of the activity. But nonetheless it was a fun day that ended with a trip to visit his Mother Kay. She was so thrilled to see us and even more excited to finally meet "the baby". We all went into the courtyard and Henry sat on Mother Kay's lap. She was smiling and kept saying to him, "I'm your Mother Kay." It was so sweet, she gently touched his arms and legs just soaking up our new little bundle. After a little while she became very concerned about the heat and wanted us to get him back into the house, and unfortunately I was worried for both her and Henry because it was dreadfully hot and humid. So our meeting was cut a bit short. As I took her back to her sitting area she was so proud to tell the other residents, "This is our baby." Such a sweet and proud great grandmother. We cant wait to take him back for another visit. Jared captured the moment so well, I hope you all enjoy. It is a meeting that I hold very special in my heart!

Wow those are amazing pictures, so beautiful. I know that Mother Kay would have loved to just wrap her arms around him and shower him with kisses. Again, I am reminded of how much I really Love my family. <3 - Auntie
